Go Wild!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Being a new year and month it is time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is Me!

Apparently yesterday was Z Day. So let's celebrate by including something starting with the letter Z on our cards.  You could make a Z Fold Card, use a zip or zip image, zinnia, zebra, zoo etc. Let's show the letter Z how much we love it!

A Pull Card is a form of Z fold card so I decided to use the new Oval Pull Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. This will be released next week at CHA.

I have been wanting to turn Cocoa the Horse into a zebra, ever since I saw Helen Cryer's Zebra Card that she posted on her blog way back in August last year. Seeing Zebra's also start with the letter "Z" this was the perfect opportunity to make one. For my zebra I stamped a piece of white card using Echo Park's Zebra Print background stamp which made converting the horse to a zebra so easy!!!!!

Each of Karen's Pull Card die sets includes a different type of mechanism you can use on your card so that it gives even more motion. This time round Karen included a fun slider die in the Oval Pull Card die set, which is the black panel you can see going through the slot on the oval label which makes the zebra change position when you open the card.

I also used the new Pull Card Edges die set to layer the designer paper panels on either side of my card. To finish off the card I used one of the Ribbons from the Ribbons 1 die set which is one of the new die sets also available from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
