O Christmas Tree!

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with the 'Crazies' over on the Crazy 4 Challenge blog. Being a brand new month it is time for a new hostess, which is ME!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
In beauty green will always grow
Through summer sun and winter snow.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

Use the lyrics above for the inspiration of your card for the challenge this week. Your card can include a Christmas tree, pine branches of a Christmas tree or even a tree in a summer or winter setting.

As you can see rather than making the normal card, I have created something to decorate my house this Christmas

A month or so ago while browsing through my newsfeed on Facebook, I discovered a new Stamp/Die Company and this amazing die set that allows you to create Christmas Trees (and other things with a big of imagination). This die set is available from Concord & 9th. At the time the die set was out of stock but I was able to be notified when it came back in and of course once it was available I just had to have it.

This is my first time of playing with the die set and I created three Christmas Trees using green card (next time I might try a different color). Luckily I found these cute pots in a box of bits and pieces I have had for years. I obviously purchased them years ago thinking they would be useful for something and look they are! Isn't it great when you finally use something you have had for years LOL!

It  is hard to see in the photos, but I have added a little bit of copper type tinsel to my tree to give it some decoration. If I find something else during the next few weeks that will be better I will add that to it instead.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
